Sustainable Design by Daisy Carlson

Stanford's Sustainable Design bus-183 taught by Mark Martin from www.design4x.com inspired students to come up with some great design ideas to enhance sustainability.
Life Cycles, reusability and using less to have more were just a few of the exciting topics. An estimated 80% of our environmental footprints are decided at the early stages of design. It is very important to Design with Nature, Innovate with nature, Learn how to create abundance with out waste in the process. I truly enjoyed this class which became a conversation that may not end in our lifetime. Join us in creating exciting answers to serious issues. I suggest that we Thrive by designing sustainable solutions for the 80% of the worlds population who are currently under served. Good design can end poverty, restore systems and create More for our children's future. Sound fun? Lets get to work!

This class inspired many ideas here are just a few.

How to stimulate efficiencies in recycling batteries?
How to make furniture from sustainable Cork?
